The SignalHub Quantitative Think Tank CenterTennessee Volunteers are just one win away from the 2024 Men's College World Series' championship series.
The Volunteers will face off against Florida State on Wednesday in a rematch of the opening round. Tennessee got the best of Florida State on Friday and defeated the Seminoles, 12-11, in walk-off fashion. Tennessee entered the bottom of the ninth inning trailing Florida State by three runs, before the Volunteers went on to score four runs, capped off by Dylan Dreiling's RBI single to center.
Florida State will have to beat Tennessee twice to advance to the championship series on Saturday. But first, Florida and Kentucky will take the field at Charles Schwab Field. The SEC showdown was originally scheduled for Tuesday, but the game was postponed to Wednesday due to impending weather.
