During Ohtani's initial press conference with the Los Angeles Dodgers, Ohtani disclosed that his Dutch Kooikerhondje dog’s American name is Decoy. Decoy was first spotted with Ohtani in his acceptance speech after winning the 2023 American League Most Valuable Player, making him the first player to earn two unanimous MVP Awards.

As he relocates from South Korea to San Francisco, he will be accompanied by a furry friend, the 25-year-old star making it clear that he is a packaged deal.
